Purchase Order Conditions
The Supplier shall be subject to the following terms and conditions:
i. Representatives of Piddington Engineering Ltd, their customers and any regulatory authority connected with the main contract shall be allowed to visit the Supplier’s premises at any reasonable time and shall be afforded all necessary facilities to verify at source that the product/service conforms to the order requirements.
ii. The Purchase Order number must be shown on all packages, shipping documents, invoices, advice notes and correspondence.
iii. Invoices must be sent as soon as goods are despatched.
iv. Piddington Engineering Ltd reserves the right to cancel any part or all of the order if not fulfilled promptly.
v. No charge is allowed for boxing, crating or cartage unless agreed in writing.
Quality Assurance Conditions
i. The Supplier shall ensure that the order is carried out in conformity with the quality requirements stated on the purchase order.
Code of Ethics
All Suppliers of Piddington Engineering Ltd are responsible for acting ethically. Piddington Engineering Ltd’s name and reputation depend on the actions and decisions of its Suppliers.
All Suppliers must:

Read, understand and comply with this Code of Ethics.

Be responsible for the accuracy and integrity of documents, records and business information related to Piddington Engineering Ltd.

Immediately notify Piddington Engineering Ltd of any potential violations of this Code or legal requirements.

Cooperate fully with any investigation related to this Code, applicable laws or regulations.
Piddington Engineering Ltd conducts business responsibly and expects its Suppliers, contractors and consultants (“Suppliers”) to comply with all applicable laws and to meet, as a minimum, the standards outlined in this Code.
The expectation extends to employees of Suppliers, sub-Suppliers and any other parties involved in execution of work for Piddington Engineering Ltd.
HUMAN RIGHTS AND LABOUR STANDARDS
Forced Labour, Human Trafficking and Slavery
Suppliers shall not use any form of forced labour including prison, indentured, bonded, military or slave labour. Suppliers shall not participate in any activity related to trafficking or coercion. Suppliers shall not retain employee passports or identification documents. Employees must be free to resign at any time.
Child Labour
No underage labour is permitted. Minimum age must comply with applicable laws or the age of compulsory education. If neither is defined, employees must be at least 14 years old.
Working Hours
Working hours must comply with law. Employees should receive at least one day off in every seven-day period.
Wages and Benefits
Suppliers must maintain accurate payroll records and comply with labour laws regarding wages, overtime, bonuses and benefits.
Freedom of Association
Suppliers must comply with laws relating to lawful worker association and collective bargaining.
Non-Discrimination
Employment decisions must be based on ability alone. Discrimination based on race, gender, sexual orientation, age, pregnancy, disability, religion, ethnicity, union membership or other protected characteristics is prohibited.
HEALTH AND SAFETY
Suppliers shall provide safe and healthy working environments and, if applicable, housing. Risks must be assessed and minimised through appropriate safety management.
ENVIRONMENT
Suppliers must comply with environmental laws regarding emissions, discharges, waste and handling of hazardous materials. Suppliers must prevent unplanned releases that may impact employees, the environment or local communities.
BRIBERY AND CORRUPTION
Suppliers shall not engage in fraud, bribery, money laundering, extortion or any corrupt practice. No payments, kickbacks or illegal incentives may be offered to secure a business advantage. Suppliers must maintain a written anti-bribery and anti-corruption policy reviewed annually.
COUNTERFEIT PARTS
Suppliers are responsible for ensuring that no counterfeit or suspect components are supplied to Piddington Engineering Ltd. Parts must be sourced directly from the Original Component Manufacturer (OCM). Alternative sourcing requires prior written approval.
Suppliers must replace counterfeit/suspect parts immediately at their own cost and cover all associated rectification costs incurred by Piddington Engineering Ltd.
MATERIAL
Latest BS specification material must be supplied. Certificates of Conformity and Mill Certificates are required at delivery for full material traceability.
TRACEABILITY
All parts and materials must be fully traceable to their original manufacturer/supplier. Traceability records must be retained indefinitely and made available on request. Containment actions must be implemented immediately if a defect is found.
CONFLICT MINERALS
Suppliers must comply with applicable conflict minerals reporting and ensure responsible sourcing of Tungsten, Tin, Tantalum and Gold. Traceability documentation must be maintained and provided to Piddington Engineering Ltd on request.
CHANGE CONTROL
All changes must be assessed for risk and approved before implementation. Suppliers must notify Piddington Engineering Ltd of any change to:

Storage, handling, dispatch methods, equipment or personnel
Written approval is required before progressing. Records of changes must be retained indefinitely following any NCR linked to supply quality.
Piddington Engineering Ltd expects strong supplier partnerships and ethical sourcing. Failure to comply with this Code or refusal to implement remedial action may result in discontinuation of business.
Accepting a Piddington Engineering Ltd Purchase Order confirms Supplier compliance.
